Azul and Mostro Lounge

Mostro Lounge is not a pre-existing extension of Octavinelle Dorm, but was founded by Azul himself.

It seems to be more important to Azul than he is willing to admit: Jade says he is “attached” to what he’s created and Floyd says that “whenever he talks about the lounge, he smiles from ear to ear”, but Azul says “You honestly think me capable of such an illogical sentiment as ‘attachment’? It’s profitable and allows me to gather information inside the school. That is why the Lounge is important to me.”

Azul seems to constantly be thinking about the lounge’s success, adding the lounge’s Halloween menu to the list of things he needed to prepare in addition to Octavinelle’s mummy-themed set and costumes arranging for sports club members to staff the lounge and work as drink vendors in Book 5 and derailing a conversation about Jamil’s cooking into the potential for a new menu item.

Azul’s wish in the Wish Upon a Star event is for “the Mostro Lounge to flourish more than ever before”, which he makes “thorough preparations” to grant for himself by planning a collaboration with outside businesses using the Night Raven College brand.

In the Tsumusted event Azul’s first reaction to meeting a tsum in the shape of Floyd is to try putting it to work in the lounge, squeezing juice for drinks and waiting tables.

We learn that the busiest time in Mostro Lounge is weekends and events like the National Track and Field Meet.

There is Mostro Lounge-related drama in Azul’s dorm vignette where they suddenly start losing customers to the “Mystery Drink” that Sam has begun selling at the school store. Azul decides that Sam must be using a wide network of connections with which they can simply not compete.

Concluding that it is not possible to make a cheaper drink that tastes as good, Azul comes up with the idea of purchasing the rights to the drink from Sam and setting up a crossover promotion with their rival, the school store.

This results in a sudden, sharp increase in customers. Azul reflects, “the money is definitely great, but our relationship with the school store is invaluable. I plan to take Mostro Lounge much further than this. And to do that, I need to make as many connections as I can.” In his labwear voice lines he references having “access to some private channels”, while his school uniform “I must make as many connections as I can” line was changed for EN: he originally says “I want to make friends with a variety of people.”
