When asked if mermaids wear Halloween costumes Jade responds, “We don’t usually wear any clothes at all, so…use your imagination.”

He says that he highly recommends sling bags as “they leave both hands free for difficult treks,” but this may be less a personal fashion preference and more a practicality preference for mountain visits?

While he says he likes the design of his Playfulland hat he also says it is “a bit stiff” for his tastes, and he is fond of the asymmetrical design of his mummy outfit, but Halloween and Playfulland are moreso costumes than everyday clothing and possibly do not apply.

The same is possibly also true of his New Year’s outfit: he says he finds “the morays on the hem” to be a playful touch and charming and he thinks the bow tie and color scheme suit him, but also says he is unfamiliar with the style of outfit.

Jade owns a graphic tee with moray art on it, given to him by Floyd. Floyd says that “he loves it so much he actually wore it,” but Azul has forbidden him from wearing it outside.

Jade comments on liking a pair of sneakers that he recognizes in a magazine, saying, “that brand always puts out the highest-quality products,” so he may have an interest in shoe brands.

Floyd describes Jade’s preferred sneakers as perfect for Jade but “way too basic” for himself.

Jade and Floyd get one another shoes for their birthday and Jade describes the pair he receives as a colorful design that he wouldn’t normally choose for himself, but says he is looking forward to wearing them.

On the subject of their shoes Yana has said, “The three mermaids enjoy dressing up, wearing well-tailored clothes and dressy shoes that fit their feet perfectly, now that they finally have feet.” (source ▶︎)
