Jamil says that “silver” is not a color he chooses much on his own, and that he is looking to find a good-quality leather jacket.
He also says that he is not used to wearing “fancy attire,” and his personal wardrobe might be more casual: he says that he is impressed by his Tapis Rouge outfit but does not know when he’ll have the chance to actually wear it, and he prefers his “usual” clothes to the formal look of Firelit Sky, which he wears as a part of his role as servant to the Asim family.
We have seen multiple examples of Jamil’s eye for quality, possibly due to his position as Kalim’s servant: during the Firelit Sky event he asks a street vendor for a beige cloth he finds in a bargain bin, and receives it for free in exchange for purchasing a souvenir lamp.
Later he says he intends to sell it, as it is premium fabric made with a very rare dye that the seller himself had not recognized, but he can sell for an extremely high price to a more discerning vendor.
Jamil purchases a “high-quality” jacket for 50,000 madol (500 thaumarks) during Tapis Rouge, which he describes as having pockets and lining in a “casual design.”
Vil compliments Jamil on having a good eye and Jamil explains, “Fabrics and textiles are major industries in Scalding Sands, so I’m pretty familiar. And I’ve been around a lot of luxury goods.”
Jamil recognizes the curtains at Luxe during Tapis Rouge as “vintage, to be sure. Handwoven using traditional techniques. I can only imagine how long they took to make.”
When asked where he would go if he could transfer to another dorm Jamil responds, “I wouldn’t want to wear Heartslabyul’s bright, trendy dorm uniforms.”
Jamil comments on both his Cozywear look and his New Year’s outfit being easy to move in, which might be something he prefers.
He also says that he likes loose-fitting, oversized clothes, for looking the right amount of effortless. He also says that he likes the design of the arm sleeve he wears with his basketball outfit and, when choosing between crimson and green says, “Green’s not a bad choice, but personally, I’d go with the crimson.”
