Ruggie’s Fashion

Summary:
・Ruggie considers clothing to be a trivial thing to spend money on
・Ruggie likes casual clothes because mobility is important

Ruggie says he considers clothes to be a “trivial” thing to spend money on, and he does not seem fond of buttons, saying that his Fairy Gala outfit has too many of them.

The shirt he wears in his loungewear card does not seem to be something he bought or picked out specifically for himself, but rather something that he found somewhere.

Ruggie seems to prioritize mobility, describing his Port Wear shorts are light and comfy. He says, “Mobility’s important, that’s why I like casual clothes.”

Ruggie describes his Glorious Masquerade outfit as “itchy” and says he likes his “fishy coin pursue” during New Year’s: “nothing beats the sweet sound of coins jingling around!”

Ruggie selected both his own and Leona’s outfits for Vargas Camp, which might be examples of his personal preferences for outdoor wear looks, but he also may have just been going for practicality?

In Ruggie’s dream he says that he prefers a school uniform where minor stains and scuffs aren’t as prominent (comparing the NRC uniform to the light-colored blazer of his dream world), and this possibly might tie in to his preferences for his personal wardrobe, as he grew up without a washing machine and would wash dirty laundry in a washbasin with his feet.

Ruggie explains, “Back then, I just cared about getting the biggest stains out, but now I find it real satisfying to get everything bright and clean.”
