There was an important change made to Trey and Riddle on EN that has since been corrected to match Trey’s original dialogue, but if you have not recently read Trey’s dorm uniform vignette in-game you may have missed the update:
Localized Trey (Before): My family was easily ten times madder than Riddle ever gets. I got lectured by the whole family for five hours straight.
Translated Trey (After): She actually stormed over to my house and lectured our whole family for five hours straight. She was easily ten times more menacing than Riddle ever gets.
This is an important part of Trey and Riddle’s relationship that becomes relevant in Book 7-12. It is possible that EN did not know how important this was going to be, resulting in this localization. This is not unusual for EN. More here ▶︎
Mistaken Cater (Before): Don’t have any siblings.
Corrected Cater (After): Don’t have any brothers.
Translated Deuce (Before): I blasted around tight curves on my Magic Wheel…
Localized Deuce (After): I tore around tight curves on my blastcycle…
Translated Azul: Rielé (Ree-eh-lay)
Localized Azul: Rielle
It is possible that the spelling of “Rielé” was set by translators for being the literal pronunciation of the prince’s name, later changed in localization to “Rielle,” with one place overlooked: Azul’s dialogue in Book 3, chapter 11, where the “Rielé” pronunciation was retained.
In 2023 Twitter user kanna_tkrb reached out to EN-server customer support asking about the change and were informed by Twst EN that there was no mistake and the two spellings were intentional (source):
Regarding your concern, the notations Rielé and Rielle are different but this is an intentional display and not an error.
This resulted in many questions within EN fandom: was Azul saying the name incorrectly? Was he the only one pronouncing it right? As katakana is phonetic, however, and the katakana was consistent (リエーレ), we knew this not to be the case, with all characters including Azul pronouncing the name the same, both in written dialogue (in the original game) and in the audio (source).
EN customer support has since been proven to have been mistaken, with Azul’s line in 3-11 updated to the localization of “Rielle.”

Corrected Floyd (After): in coral rush, you ride dolphins.
Localized Trey (Before): Sleight of Hand!
Translated Trey (After): Paint the Roses!
Mistaken Azul (Before): You’re his vice housewarden!
Corrected Azul (After): Your dorm. Your responsibility!
Mistaken Riddle (Before): I grew up in the Queendom of Roses, which is landlocked.
Corrected Riddle (After): I grew up in the Queendom of Roses, but I always stayed inland.
