Deuce and Azul (pt2)

Deuce contracts with Azul a second time during Glorious Masquerade, giving up his unique magic without hesitation (Azul: “That was alarmingly quick. Did you even consider I might be scamming you?!”) in exchange for Azul hurting Rollo.

Azul upholds his end of their deal with a successful strike against Rollo and teases Deuce afterwards about not returning the ability to him.

Deuce says he had been “kinda worried” that Azul might really keep it and Azul assures him that he should have been VERY worried, and to do due diligence the next time he signs a contract with someone.

Azul adds, “Of course, I’m ENTIRELY trustworthy. You may sign indiscriminately when it’s one of my contracts” and Deuce reflects, “Oh, really? Well, I guess you DID just give me back my spell without any fuss…”

(Riddle: “Deuce! You’re letting Azul swindle you already!”)

Deuce and Epel compliment Azul on his singing at the end of the event and Azul responds, “Who knew it’d be so satisfying to hear compliments from the two of you? I suppose I could get used to underclassmen looking up at me with awe.”
