Deuce and Eggs

In Deuce’s profile his favorite food is listed as “anything with eggs,” and in Book 1 he says that, if he had to pick, he would choose omelet rice.

Deuce’s most disliked food is listed as “bell peppers” on EN but it is actually piman, which are different. 

Deuce says that his mother makes all kinds of things for him such as omelet rice, poached eggs, baked eggs, etc., and she says that egg dishes have become something of a specialty of hers due to how much Deuce likes eggs.

Deuce says he also likes the potato-heavy beef curry that his mother makes.

Deuce says he is really good at frying eggs, but he prefers them soft-boiled.

Other egg dishes we have confirmation of Deuce liking include egg salad sandwiches, egg custard tarts, quiche, chiffon cake, egg cake,egg in instant noodles and soufflé omelets (Malleus: “Judging from the way he’s eating, Spade meant it when he said it was good.”)

Deuce says that, during “a fun chat with Trey about cooking with eggs,” Trey taught him how to make a basic custard: “I’ve never gotten to talk shop about eggs with someone before! That was a blast.

It seems that, until Book 1, Deuce had always believed that chicks lived inside the eggs that he would eat.
