One of the ways this manifests is how he is often describing the people and things around him as “cute.”
This character trait comes up on both servers but not as often in the English-language adaptation, where it is rewritten or removed about 25% of the time.

Cater is portrayed as something as a flirt from early on in Book 1 when Trey has to tell him to calm down.
This trait carries over into a vignette where Cater talks about how Epel must have a beautiful older sister (“If not, he always has a mother”), which was removed from EN.
Original Cater: He’s totally the cutest~! If he has an older sister, don’t you think she must be absolutely beautiful?
EN Cater: Because he’s as cute as a button! And he looks like the kinda guy who wouldn’t leave his dirty dishes all over the place.
Original Cater: That’s not a prediction, that’s something you’re wishing for. But there’s no guarantee that he even has an older sister, right?
EN Cater: Are you sure you don’t just want him to clean up YOUR dirty dishes?

Also removed from the English-language adaptation of the game was Cater’s line about wanting to date Vil, and Vil responding that he is too expensive for Cater to afford.
Original Cater: For a moment there I think I even wanted to date you ♪
EN Cater: Is this even real? Am I dreaming?
Original Vil: Yes, yes. That’s a lot more expensive than the cost of a single photo, so prepare yourself.
EN Vil: Yes, yes. You should feel lucky there is no price for dreaming of me.
Original Cater: Don’t I know it. I bet there is a lot of time and money involved in preparing even a single gift when you’re dating Vil-kun.
EN Cater: Don’t I know it.
Original VIl: If you’re not prepared for that, then stop with being ridiculous and take your seat.
EN Vil: And since you could never hope to afford taking a photograph with me, stop with your jokes and take your seat.
Original Cater: He really left. He’s the type to finish all of his summer vacation homework on the first day.
EN Cater: That nerd really left me in the lurch… I bet when they give homework over holiday breaks, he does it all on the first day, too.

A small change, but if you thought it was odd that Cater commented on competing “against” Vil in Book 5, you are correct: it was originally “competing with,” changed for EN.
Cater’s siblings were changed from two older sisters to zero, since corrected on EN.
What the English-language game has changed to “teeth,” was originally “yaeba,” which means, “snaggle tooth.” It is mentioned in the game guide that “Cater is a yaeba character,” which is why it might sometimes look like he has a fang.
There is a lot of room for misunderstanding in a game where fanged characters tend to label someone as fae or a beast-person, and I have been asked before if there is secret JP-server information where we learn that Cater isn’t human because of card art where he seems to have fanged teeth, but he doesn’t.
That is possibly why this line is here (in the original game): in order to clear up that misunderstanding.
In an EN-server dorm uniform homescreen line, Cater says “I should start wearing our dorm uniform”. This is the opposite of what he is actually saying, which is that the player is the one who should wear the uniform. While it might have been intentional, it is also a pretty easy mistake to make.
This is because, most of the time in Japanese, we don’t use subject pronouns at all. Here is a breakdown of what Cater is literally saying:
There is no “I’ or “you” at all―this is very common in Japanese. Everything is communicated through context.
So how do we know that the English translation changed the subject pronoun if there isn’t one to change? Because of the the verb form! He is specifically saying “着てみる?” (kite-miru) as in “try wearing something never worn before, for the first time?” This verb flexibility is a large part of why pronouns and subjects often get dropped from natural conversation, for being unnecessary.
There is also “かも”(kamo), for maybe/possibly/etc, which is the last word after “look good” in the second sentence of his actual line but was moved to the start of his first sentence on EN. The same words have been put in a different order, completely changing the meaning.
(“kamo” in this context is the short, informal form of “kamoshirenai”, which itself is the less short, informal form of “kamoshiremasen”, for the curious (it also means ‘duck’. How do we know Cater isn’t talking about ducks? Context!)).
