While Deuce will sometimes use “Housewarden Rosehearts” on EN it is the one and only way that he ever refers to Riddle in the original game (Riddle is called something different by every member of Heartslabyul’s main cast).
Due to language restrictions this might be just impossible to portray, but for those who may be interested: Deuce refers to his fellow 1st-years by their first names and every 2nd- and 3rd-year student as “last-name-senpai,” with two exceptions. More here ->
In the original game both Ace and Deuce insult the prefect upon reuniting with them at the end of Book 6.
On EN Ace’s insult was retained (“YOU ABSOLUTE BLOCKHEAD”), but Deuce’s was changed to “Never do that again!”
Deuce being hard working is an important part of the character, which doesn’t really mesh with his line of “Maybe we’ll get to go home early” during the New Year’s event.
Original Deuce: There’s nothing to be done about it.
EN Deuce: Okay! I’m doing this! FOR MY COMRADE!
Original Deuce: I’ll become the wind through my own strength.
EN Deuce: There’s a category 5 windstorm comin’ everyone’s way, and they’re calling it Hurricane Deuce!
While Deuce’s declaration to Ace that he will be becoming one with the wind was changed for EN in his school uniform vignette, his callback line of “I just became one with the wind” in Book 7 was translated accurately.
