EN Server Changes: Phantom Bride

Original Crowley: At least 180 cm tall! A slim body with no excess flesh!

EN Crowley: At least 180 cm tall, with an air of nonchalance!

Original Crowley: Tall, slim, fair skin that’s never known UV rays, lidded eyes, charming…is ONE way to describe his smile.

EN Crowley: Tall, nonchalant, “healthy” skin that’s never exposed to UV rays, lidded eyes…and I suppose “charming” is ONE way to describe his smile.

Original Eliza: He’s tall and slender

EN Eliza: He’s tall, with an air of nonchalance

Eliza’s guard was originally named Chubby, renamed to Puffy for the English-language adaptation of the game.

Original Vil: I am the man who is most deserving of you as his bride.
EN Vil: I know am the right prince for your princess. Do not accept any paltry substitutes.

Vil’s usual personal pronoun is atashi, changed to boku for his persona of a prince. More here ->

Original Vil: You’re being naive, Jack-kun.
EN Vil: Jack, buddy. You’re looking at this all wrong.

Vil typically does not use any honorifics when referring to other characters. More here ->

Original Trey: I’m just a regular high school student, you know? It was all so sudden that all I could think of were thing I knew!

EN Trey: Look, I’m just a regular student, and she totally put me on the spot. All I could think of were things I knew!

Original Eliza: Next! You there, the one with the kind-looking tare-me

EN Eliza: All right, next! You there, with that disinterested look.

In the game, Jade has “tsuri-me” or “tsuri eyes”: the outer corners of his eyes are higher than the inner corners. Floyd is the opposite, with “tare-me”.

Here are make-up hints for how you can apply eye make-up to give the illusion that you have either tare-me or tsuri-me, depending on what you’re in the mood for that day.

In Eliza’s original dialogue she is not saying that Floyd looks uninterested. She is saying that he has kind eyes.

Original Riddle: They say that, in general, men continue to grow until they reach 18! I still have a whole year!

EN Riddle: Men grow well into their 20s! I’ve got time left!

Original Eliza: Next year I’ll come back to show you all a healthy baby, so look forward to it!
EN Eliza: I’ll be sure to pop by for a visit next year and give you an update!

This is not the first time that the game has alluded to the ghosts being able to have children:

In Book 4 the prefect is asked to take over fire duty for the school because the kitchen ghost’s daughter had a baby and he wishes to visit the netherworld to see his first grandchild.

When the prefect asks about ghosts having grandchildren Crowley responds, “It was a miracle of love. Don’t sweat the details.”
