Honorifics: Ortho

Ortho will typically greet students by their first and last names with the “-san” honorific, and then shift to “first-name-san” during conversation.

Ortho’s rule of “first-name-last-name-san” and “first-name-san” applies to all first-, second- and third-year students.

Ortho was programmed to call Idia “Nii-san,” while dead-Ortho calls Idia “Nii-chan.”

There is a significant moment in Book 6 where Idia dismisses Ortho from his role as younger brother, so Ortho calls him “Idia Shroud-san.”

Reinstated as his brother, he calls Idia “Nii-san” again.

Ortho again calls Idia by name as “Idia Shroud-san” during Book 7, when trying to wake him up from his dream where Idia has forgotten him.
