Trey explains “Riddle holds the Queen of Hearts in high regard” to explain why the world Riddle reigns over in his dream follows the rules in the Queen of Hearts’ land, and Riddle refers to her as “a remarkable ruler,” saying, “It is my aim to achieve even a sliver of her greatness.”
When Rook comments on the “charm” of the Queen of Hearts, Riddle responds that her charm is “a perspective that never occurred to (him).”
For Riddle’s birthday Azul presents him with a lamp with a milk-white shade with a fretwork pattern card-suit designs, saying, “I thought the design was a fitting tribute to the Queen of Hearts. I picked this out after studying your tastes and narrowing down what you would like the most.”
When Rook asks Riddle if he is afraid of Malleus during Spectral Soiree Riddle responds, “The Queen of Hearts would never back down before a foe, no matter who they were!”
He responds similarly after volunteering to be bait for firelotuses during Glorious Masquerade to protect the other members of the group.
Malleus says, “You never struck me as someone who would automatically step up to sacrifice themselves,” and Riddle says, “They say that even the Queen of Hearts took the field in battle to punish a major rulebreaker. 1 am the housewarden of Heartslabyul. It’s only natural that I would follow Her Majesty’s example.”
Ace has a voice line of, “When I see a painting of the Queen of Hearts, I stand up straight without even thinkin’ about it. Guess she reminds me too much of our very own teapot tyrant.”
Riddle has a voice line of, “It is difficult for a housewarden to create ‘me time.’ I wonder how the Queen managed it when she had to rule an entire country.”
Riddle says that the crown of his dorm uniform is modeled after the one wore by the Queen of Hearts: “She ruled her country well, and I hope to follow in her example.”
The heels worn with his dorm uniform are also modeled after those of the Queen of Hearts. Riddle says, “I’ll have you know. To be clear, that is the ONLY reason the heels are so high.”
