Sebek, Sally and Animals

Sebek’s Nightmare Before Christmas vignette involves Sebek chastising Jack Skellington for not showing proper gratitude to Sally for her efforts in supporting him.

Sebek then takes Sally aside and encourages her to be more forthright with Jack, saying that he understands her anxiety but she also needs to be more frank in her communication (he also explains the dynamic between his mother, father and grandfather by way of example: more here ->)

Sebek does not seem to have any particular interest in small animals, telling Silver that they do not have any time to feed hungry birds and that they should “let nature takes its course” with an injured baby bat.

Silver insists on helping with the animals anyway, and Sebek says that while he has reservations about helping the bat he acknowledges that they have a responsibility to it once they have committed to caring for it.

Sebek seems to (voluntarily) do much of the work of saving the bat: tending to its wings, going to Heartslabyul for powdered milk suitable for small animals, preparing the milk and volunteering to procure a dropper for feeding it and gauze and cotton swabs for bathing it.
