Silver and Deuce

When asked who he would like to have as a sibling Silver chooses Deuce, as Deuce “cares a lot about his mother.”

Silver says he would like a brother who treasures his family in the same way that he does.

Silver says that Deuce also greets him with a lot of energy when they see one another in the hall or on the sports field, and he has heard from Sebek that Deuce tries hard despite his own struggles: “I could learn something from that kind of attitude…if Deuce were my brother, I think he could help me identify my own shortcomings.”

During the Wish Upon a Star event the two characters learn that they were both raised by single parents.

Deuce’s mother calls him during the event while Silver is guiding him through Diasomnia to collect stars. When Deuce says that his old friends would make fun of him for being so close with his mother, Silver responds, “It’s only natural you’d want to talk regularly with someone you care about.”

At the end of the event both Silver and Lilia appear to congratulate Deuce on dealing with bullies who had been looking to sabotage the ceremony, and Lilia says he finds Deuce’s passion to be quite inspiring.

After discussing Deuce’s wish for the future Grim asks “since when did Deuce become such a go-getter?” and Silver responds, “It’s a good thing.”

During the White Rabbit event Deuce comments on Silver’s willingness to wear one of rabbit costumes and says, “Maybe I should be more like him.”

Deuce records a special wake-up message for Silver’s alarm clock. Deuce apologizes for his rudeness and Silver responds, “Getting screamed at like that will definitely wake me up” (and it does successfully wake him up during the race).

Deuce offers the first bite of the group’s baked potato to Silver on the grounds that he is the upperclassman of the group and encourages Silver to lead the group in a cheer before the race, also because of his seniority.

Silver refuses, saying that Deuce is their leader.
