At the start of Lilia’s dream Silver plays into the role of an NRC student sent to try and recruit Lilia, who agrees to let them join his troops if they are capable of making contact with him in a fight.
Silver decides to take the chance to deliver a shock to his system and wake him up, and the team of Silver and Sebek manage to knock off his mask.
When they make camp Lilia tells them to go back to school for their own good but Silver refuses, saying that he is certain that school life will be an irreplaceable experience for Lilia.
When Silver insists he is willing to stay with Lilia’s troops even at the risk of his own life Lilia observes, “I’m starting to suspect that Night Raven College is full of people who are weird even by human standards.”
Silver responds that, while it is true that the school houses a great number of unique individuals, the sheer amount of diversity means that every day is educational.
On their journey Lilia tests the group by sending them to capture a group of silver owls, but they fail. Silver apologizes and Lilia says they did a good enough job fighting them, but had no plan for what came after.
