Silver uses wind magic to save himself, Grim and the prefect as they fall from the sky into a dream in Book 7, and light magic during his fight against General Lilia.
He aids Lilia in ejecting Magicam Monsters from campus with magic during Halloween, but while Crowley recommends the casting of a levitation spell to do so, we do not technically know if that is the type of magic that they used.
Silver helps dry a bird’s wet wings with magic during the Tsumsted event, but the type of magic that he uses to do so is unspecified.
Silver joins Malleus in creating magical fireworks during the Glorious Masquerade event.
During Book 7 we see Silver use defensive magic to deflect ice magic that an enemy mage uses to attack him.
When Sebek fails to imagine himself in his dorm uniform in the dreamscape of Book 7 Silver says he, too, has yet to master what he calls “illusion magic,” but later we learn that Silver actually is capable of changing his clothes with magic.
When Sebek reacts with surprise Silver explains,
“It’s not that I couldn’t use it before. It’s just that I need to fully focus to pull it off without any trouble. And I’m especially used to changing into my school uniform. I really rely on it when I accidentally oversleep.
This spell is the main thing keeping me from being tardy more often. But I’m less confident in my ability to pull it off when there are distractions afoot, like when we’re fighting.”
After Jamil uses ice magic to freeze sea water into a boat in Book 7, Silver follows up by creating oars out of ice.
