Twisted Wonderland Event Summary: Beanfest

Beanfest is a traditional event celebrated at NRC by the students being separated into two teams of farmers armed with bean-based weaponry trying to steal a golden harp and monsters that are trying to protect in a capture-the-flag style competition with no magic allowed.

The night before the event, Idia takes bean-based weapons that he has crafted to Sam.

The prefect and Grim form a team with Cater and Deuce, with Cater sacrificing Deuce to the monster team to take the contents of a supply crate for himself, and Deuce is saved by Riddle, who eliminates Ace and Sebek.

Cater’s group is saved from a monster attack by Jade.

Rook forms a group with Trey.

Jamil overlaps with Floyd, who is on the opposite team, but Floyd is not in the mood to participate and they go their separate ways.

Vil forms a group with Savanaclaw students. Vil rescues Silver, who joins Vil’s group.

Vil also takes on Octavinelle students who betray them to steal their weapons, but Vil subdues them. Silver leaves Vil in order to find Malleus.

Jack meets with Azul, who blackmails Jack into teaming with him.

They attack Riddle and Deuce, but let them go in exchange for a favor that Riddle unknowingly did for Azul before the event.

Azul then sends Jack after them anyway. Jack eliminates Deuce.

Azul’s team overlaps with Vil’s team, which rescues Riddle, but Azul and Jack pull back rather than fight.

Leona is receiving protection from Ruggie, who is on the opposing team, in exchange for cafeteria lunches.

Jack eliminates Leona. Azul blackmails Ruggie into joining their team.

Azul’s team overlaps with Floyd, who is still not in the mood to join the event.

Jack provokes Floyd, who eliminates Ruggie by mistake when Ruggie intentionally takes a bean for Azul in order to retire from the game.

Rook and Trey happen upon Azul’s team battling Floyd, but Vil’s team appears and Azul’s team retreats.

Floyd is unhappy that his fun was interrupted and Vil tosses him in self defense, pleasing Floyd, who agrees to join Vil’s team in exchange for being taught the move that he used.

Azul’s team breaks into two groups: Azul with Jack, Trey with Rook.

Cater’s group meets with Kalim, who is sharing the lunch prepared for him by Jamil with other members of their team, the lunch being a trap Jamil prepared as he is on the opposing team.

Jamil’s team attacks Kalim’s picnic team and Cater’s team escapes.

Jade separates from Cater’s team to acquire one of Idia’s weapons from Sam where he is nearly caught by Azul, but he sets up a trap using durian juice to compromise Jack’s nose and escapes detection.

Jamil eliminates Kalim. Lilia joins the Rook’s team, having eliminated Malleus.

Silver and Vil reunite, but Vil has used Silver as bait to lure Vil’s team into a trap.

Trey eliminates Riddle. Jamil and Lilia join forces.

Idia has been forced to evacuate the neutral zone of the school store due to the durian juice trap that Jade arranged. Idia surrenders to Rook and Trey.

Rook sends Trey away to fight Vil alone. Rook eliminates Vil.

Trey and Rook find Cater’s group and they are once again saved by Jade, who eliminates Trey but lets Rook escape, as he has an idea.

Azul approaches Jade in a location overlooking the coliseum presumably to use his weapon on enemies below, revealing that he has anticipated Jade’s plan, but Jade deduced that Azul would foresee such a plot: his weapon is unloaded, and he allowed Rook to escape on purpose so as to feed Azul inaccurate intel and distract Azul from the real weapon, which was a shrinking potion used by the prefect who has the last of their ammunition to throw by hand at Rook and Jack as they guard the harp.

Floyd joins Silver and Epel and they set up a trap using Silver as bait.

Epel is eliminated by Jamil, Silver is eliminated by Lilia, Lilia is eliminated by Floyd.

Floyd eliminates Jamil but he is not interested in the game and continues to chase after Jamil because he wants to fight.

Azul eliminates Floyd by catching him in a net, winning the game, and observing that both Jade and Floyd confronted him with unloaded weapons.

Cater’s group lost when they were unable to outmaneuver Jack, who earns an MVP prize along with Azul. Azul and Jamil both scold Jack for provoking Floyd in the first place.

That night Jade congratulates Azul, saying he paid the price for failing to account for Jack’s abilities.

Jade and Azul both declare their intent to beat the other again next year.
