Grim finds a mysterious book with a mirror inlaid on the front cover in the school library. Upon opening it the book seems to transport Grim, Lilia, Floyd, Jack, Ace, Azul and the prefect to a deserted island dressed in tropical clothes.
The students do not know where they are and have no service to confirm via GPS, while Lilia’s attempts to fly over the area are compromised by his magic disappearing once he passes a certain threshold.
They are unable to remove their clothes and neither Azul nor Floyd are able to return into their mermaid forms. Flying on makeshift brooms also fails, and the waves around the island are too high for a raft.
Stitch’s spaceship crashes on the island. The students go to investigate and discover both him and Gantu, who demands that they surrender Stitch to him. While most of the students agree to do so Lilia and Floyd refuse. Gantu sends robots out to capture Stitch, which the students break and escape from.
Stitch crafts a flashlight, mattress, blanket, pillow and eye mask out of broken parts from the robots (Jack: “This makes no sense!”) to ask for their protection in exchange for his abilities.
The students agree to protect Stitch until he fixes his crashed spaceship in exchange for Stitch giving them a ride back to NRC.
They spend the night in a cave and, the next morning, break into two groups to build a shelter and gather food.
Floyd, Riddle and Jack’s team build an entire house, with Stitch.
The students have a bonfire on the beach that night. Stitch crafts a ukulele that Floyd plays while the others dance.
The next day Stitch and Grim get into a fight over who is cuter and fluffier, soon reconciling with Stitch’s idea that they take a nap. Later, the group goes surfing together.
Stitch protects the prefect from Gantu’s robots and Grim becomes jealous over the attention that Stitch gets from the other students. While wandering the island alone, Grim is kidnapped by Gantu.
Gantu demands Stitch in exchange for Grim but the students refuse. When Gantu flies off in his space ship Lilia and Floyd pursue him on surfboards that Stitch upgrades so that they can fly.
Gantu’s ship explodes, dropping Grim, Gantu and Stitch into the ocean. Grim rescues Stitch, while Lilia and Floyd rescue an unconscious Gantu.
Stitch finishes the repairs on his ship and flies off with the students as promised.
Back in the library at NRC the students have no memory of the book, the island, or Stitch. They decide to meet up together during summer break and go to the beach together.
