Trey explains his love of candied violets at length in his first birthday vignette, saying that before he started elementary school he was apparently amazed by the concept of edible flowers.
Trey says, “I like the taste, of course…but I also love when the violet aroma overtakes my senses. It’s like I’m lying in a bed of flowers. That’s the real appeal to me.”
He says that he used to snack on them all the time when he lived at home, and to this day his parents will send them to him: “I like munching on them during study breaks.”
