In the game Sebek will regularly refer to the mermaid and beast-person characters as “human” without ever being corrected, insinuating that this same rule may apply in the game.

During Spectral Soiree Floyd tells Ace “You’re human, too,” as though he considers himself and Ace to be equally human.
