At the start of Beanfest Floyd is unimpressed with Vil, but his opinion changes once Vil tosses him to the ground.
Vil describes the move he uses as “a basic self-defense technique,” agreeing to teach Floyd how to do it on the condition that Floyd joins his group. (Vil later admits that, while it was his idea to bring Floyd onto the team, he is harder to manage that Vil had expected.)
At one point Vil threatens Floyd with Azul to get him to cooperate, pointing out that their oral agreement to cooperate still counts as a contract.
Vil says that Floyd gave him a bracelet in “such a chic design” for his birthday.
When Vil suggests that the surviving members of the group ride the ferris wheel during the drama of Playfulland, Floyd does not question his judgement, saying, “If I know Betta, he’s got an angle here. This ain’t fun and games to him.”
