Vil and Leona (pt3)

There are also times when Vil will compliment Leona, saying he is handsome, acknowledging his strength during Playfulland, complimenting his appearance during Cloudcalling, and saying that he is not the kindhearted, self-sacrificing type, in a good way: “Leona wouldn’t do anything so pointless. He’s more indolent, snide, and pragmatic than anyone else I know….As loath as I am to admit it, he wasn’t wrong when he said he was smarter than the rest of us.”

In a vignette Vil notices that Leona has a loose button on his vest immediately before a photograph is to be taken of them together of the school newspaper and insists he fix it for himself. Leona refuses on the grounds that, of the two of them, Vil is the only one who cares, and Vil fixes the button for him, exclaiming, “The only think you have going for you is a handsome face. This is why I hate spoiled princelings!”

According to Ruggie, Vil will nag Leona about his fashion choices.

During Fairy Gala Vil compliments Leona for deciding to take the event seriously, though Leona says he simply “got sick of (Vil) getting on (his) case nonstop”.

Vil expresses exasperation at Leona’s willingness to give an earnest effort only when it makes his life easier and calls in Rook and Cater for their guidance. Leona concedes, preferring them to spending another minute alone with Vil.

It is Vil who convinces Leona to answer his phone during Halloween which it seems Leona had been intentionally avoiding all day, knowing exactly who it was (Cheka), and leaving the party immediately afterwards.

Vil calls Leona out on hiding the fact that he can drive, again calling him lazy and assuming that he must be pretending that he can’t in order to keep people from bothering him, though Leona says that this is not the case.
