Vil and Sebek overlap largely over New Years, where they are on the same team working for Sam. All four part-time employees shovel snow together before the store opens, with Sebek becoming enraged at the misunderstanding that snow that falls on him from above was actually thrown at him by one of the other three.
Sebek throws a snowball at Vil for revenge that he magically blocks, deciding to teach Sebek a lesson for aiming at his face. After Sam interrupts Vil admits that he “lost (his) cool,” saying that he regrets his actions.
Much as Vil has instructed Epel how to speak politely to others, Sebek says that Vil has corrected how he speaks as well, but he does not think he has any room for improvement.
Vil says it takes a lot of work to cover for the “insolent attitude” that Sebek takes with the store’s customers.
Vil cautions Sebek about not conserving his strength during their competitions with the store’s customers, but Sebek insists that his concern is unwarranted. Later, however, Sebek does start to look exhausted.
Vil suggests that they strategize together and Sebek refuses, “as though (he) could ever rely on a HUMAN’s capabilities,” insisting that he has been carrying their team.
Vil asks if he is supposed to thank him for that, saying, “I’ve been training regularly as well. A match like that would hardly exhaust me,” and he means not only the competitions but also running the shop, as he does not want to make mistakes at the register or when stocking shelves.
Sebek insists that he has his own way of doing things and Vil need not interfere.
