During Beanfest Vil saves Silver from ten assailants, telling him “You wouldn’t want to get eliminated before you find Malleus, would you?” in order to recruit Silver to his team.
When Silver asks why Vil helped him despite being so suspicious of other students, Vil says, “Because you’re the sort of easy mark that takes anything people say at face value. I figured the very idea of betrayal wouldn’t even cross your mind.”
Silver seems to respect Vil, saying during Halloween preparations that he doesn’t have an eye for quality when it comes to cosmetics, but “I’m certain that anything the housewarden of Pomefiore recommends must be exceptional”.
In a vignette we see vil forcibly recruit Silver as an actor for a film club project. When Silver refuses Vil remarks, “How sad that Malleus has failed to instill his students with proper manners”, and Silver agrees to participate in order to not “sully Malleus’ good name”.
Silver proves to be a terrible actor despite Silver’s best efforts to not “bring shame upon Malleus”, ultimately filling the role of the Headless Horseman for Vil’s project, despite how Vil recruited him for his face.
Silver struggles during the Fairy Gala IF event, with Vil instructing him to picture the most beautiful thing he can think of and embody it. When Silver begins to scowl Vil asks what he is doing and Silver explains, “It’s you. When I tried to think of something beautiful, you came to mind right away.”
Vil responds, “It could be worse, I suppose.” (Ace: “This is not the time to stroke your ego!”)
Silver gives Vil a push-up bar for his birthday, which Vil describes as “an excellent choice.”
Silver says that Vil has reprimanded him in the past for not having a hair care routine and gave him a hair care kit as a token of appreciation for helping with the Film Research Club.
Silver says that while the products did result in a noticeable improvement there was no way he could keep it up indefinitely, and he has since returned to using the same soap head to toe.
