Kalim’s Fashion

Jade says, “Kalim typically wears nothing but attire of the highest quality, made from the most fastidiously chosen materials.” 

Kalim says that he does not wear black all that often.

Kalim’s ceremonial vignette revolves around him deciding to convince Crowley to change the color of the ceremonial robes to something brighter and add more ornate designs. Malleus convinces him not to do so.

Kalim suggests that everyone should wear headscarves with blue and purple feathers and that the robes should be “a nice peacock green” or white, because “cheery colors give off much more of a party vibe,” but it is unclear if he suggests those specific colors and accessories because they are a part of his usual wardrobe.

Kalim says that he likes the design of his “beaded bangles” for the Cloudcalling event and his pants and jacket for Playfulland, but those are maybe closer to costumes than everyday wear and might or might not reflect his preferences for his usual clothing.

He also likes his Halloween costume for using designs from the Scalding Sands, and silk roomwear feels good and doesn’t get stuffy in hot weather.

On the subject of Kalim his VA, Furuta Kazuki, had an interview in vol. 1 of the Official Fanbook in which he said:

“This is just my personal interpretation, but I like to imagine that that outfit was inspired by high-brand, European fashion, and Kalim wearing such expensive clothes as if they were street fashion, not thinking twice about it―that’s my image of him.”

VA opinions are not canon to the game and this is only Furuta’s personal image of his character, but it is an interesting thought.
