When asked where he would want to go if he could use flight magic to go anywhere Deuce says he would go see a blastcycle race to watch from above the course, as TV broadcasts cut between different racers so he can’t see as much of the racers and machines he is interested in.
When Malleus comments on how he seems quite taken with blastcycles Deuce responds, “I LOVE them!,” and then apologizes for getting carried away.
Deuce also regales Sebek with his love of blastcycles, saying that he used to rev his engine in long tunnels, and “Sometimes, when I was driving alongside someone who made their engine sound cool, we’d start competing to see who could make their engine go louder.”
Deuce follows with, “Oh, I’m always careful to avoid causing a disturbance when I go for a ride. These days, at least.” It seems that Deuce would also participate in blastcycle races.
Deuce says he had been hoping to go blastcycle riding while home for the White Rabbit Fes event, but he abstains due to having been joined by others from NRC.
Deuce gets Floyd a “Blastcycle Passenger Ride Ticket” for his birthday, saying, “Ace told me you like to have fun. I thought about what was most fun to me, and I settled on offering you a blastcycle ride as a gift.”
Deuce seems to share his love of vehicles with his mother: she says. “When I’m behind the wheel I can just sort of…feel my way through what I need to do, like whatever I’m driving is an old friend,” and Deuce says he knows what she means: “I form a bond with blastcycles too.”
