Riddle and Silver

When asked whom from NRC he would choose to have as sibling Riddle says that the people he is closest to outside of his dorm are his classmates and clubmates, including Silver. Riddle says, “(Silver’s) conduct is mostly unimpeachable, except for his constant dozing! Why, just recently he nodded off right as we were changing after morning practice. Sebek and I had to physically carry him to class!”

Silver says that signed up for the Master Chef course because Riddle invited him: “He said—paraphrasing—‘Cooking requires constant focus. Perhaps it would instill some discipline and help you fix your dozing habit.’”

A concerned visitor goes to Riddle during Halloween about “a boy sitting off in the corner” who might be feeling sick, revealed to be Silver. Riddle assures the visitor, “He’s just sleeping. Thank you for your concern, though,” and scolds Silver with, “Sleeping at a party? That’s a breach of etiquette worse than anything in the rules!”

On the subject of the Equestrian Club Riddle says, “Silver’s an experienced horseback rider who takes club activities seriously,” while Silver says, “Riddle Rosehearts has trained relentlessly to achieve perfect riding technique. He is even more skilled than I am in terms of his handling finesse. In fact, competing with him has helped me push many of my own skills to new heights.”

During the Lantern Event it is Silver who fetches Riddle’s horse for the finale, telling Riddle, “I’m sure that together, you and Vorpal can surmount any obstacles.”

When looking for horse tack for Sebek and Silver during the Eternity Float event, Malleus goes to Riddle for advice, saying, “It seems they both hold your horsemanship in high regard.” Riddle recommends brushes for grooming their mounts: “Silver mentioned wanting to put extra effort into hoof care for the next riding competition. In which case, he’d probably appreciate one of these brushes with stiff bristles suited for cleaning hooves.

After wakening from his dream, Riddle tells both Leona and Silver, “I fear you’ve seen me at my absolute worst,” but Silver responds, “Don’t worry about it. I know the real you well enough. I’m glad you’re awake now, Riddle.”
