Silver, Protecting

Silver seems passionate about protecting others, saying that he has dreamed of being a knight who protects Lilia and Malleus since he was a child.

He refuses to allow Ortho to go off by himself during Spectral Soiree due to the danger of whoever might be lurking nearby and when no one during Vargas Camp is willing to leave the fire to check on Jamil’s missing group, he goes alone to help them.

Silver also tries to save Riddle during Beanfest after their group is ambushed in a surprise attack.

During Spectral Soiree Silver asks Jamil to cover Jack in a blanket (“I didn’t bring a blanket with me. Neither did you, for that matter.”) and promises that they will make sure to avoid any vital organs when they resort to violence in order to exorcise him.

When Deuce comments on how much fun he is having during the White Rabbit Fes event Silver responds, “Unfortunately trouble often finds its way into pleasant locales like this. We should be on guard,” and he comments that the heels of his Fairy Gala boots could “make useful weapons.”

When Rollo sets off a magic handkerchief souvenir in Fleur City Silver responds by tackling and covering the members of his group in order to protect them.

When it is decided that someone will need to sacrifice themselves to the fire lotuses during Glorious Masquerade Silver is actually the first to volunteer, but Riddle interrupts.

Silver also volunteers himself (and Sebek) to clear a path through the dangerous flowers. He says that even when he is dressed up, he is always prepared for emergencies. Upon arriving in Idia’s dream in Book 7 one of the first thing Silver does is order Idia, Grim and the prefect to get behind him so that he may protect them from the darkness.
