Vil and Trey (pt2)

Trey says that Vil’s tsum gives off the same aura as he does, like it’s judging his appearance, which makes him antsy.

(There is a running theme in the Tsumsted event of Vil repeatedly insisting that he and his tsum are nothing alike.)

Trey gifts Vil with an outfit from the Land of Scalding Sands provided by Kalim’s family. Vil says, “That man knows how to get things done” and He must’ve remembered when I said I was interested in Scalding Sands fashion a while back.”

When Trey suggests that they strike back against the Vargas monster Vil supports him, saying, “Why don’t we let Trey finish his thought before completely dismissing it? He wouldn’t suggest something like that without reason.” Vil says that he wouldn’t take directions from an incompetent person, but he knows that Trey wouldn’t suggest anything ill-advised, describing Trey’s plan as “cautious and realistic,” like Trey himself.

After a second monster appears, Trey and Vil hold it back so that Azul, Jade and the prefect can evacuate Vargas and Grim.

When Rook asks about hearing tales of Trey’s daring exploits Trey insists he didn’t do anything that great. Malleus says he begs to differ and Vil tells Trey to take the compliment, as people are telling him that they appreciate his efforts. Vill follows with, “As do I. You really know how to stick a landing. I see I misjudged you,” and Trey asks, “Did you think I was unreliable or something?”
